Single-parent families and adolescents’ wellbeing in Europe: a multilevel analysi
Abstract
This study, employing multilevel modeling, investigates adolescent subjective well-being (SWB) in single-parent families (SPFs) across Europe. It uncovers a consistent negative impact, primarily due to economic challenges, with greater penalties in regions where SPFs are more prevalent. Public family spending offers partial relief, underscoring the need for targeted interventions and comprehensive social policies to enhance adolescent SWB in single-parent families (SPFs).
